Keenan Cornelius has always been known as one of the most innovative black belts within the BJJ community. For those of you unfamiliar with sports BJJ, Keenan is responsible for the growing trend of the lapel game because of his worm guard system.
Keenan is not the first BJJ athlete that uses the lapel to attack but he surely has found his own niche by developing his lapel-based game that it becomes a solid system and has a massive following.
In Keenan’s new video, he and some training partners are playing around with choke submissions, most of which I have never seen before. The cool thing is that these chokes are also applicable from the bottom side control position, which can be a nightmare if your opponent is pressing you hard and you have no idea how to escape.
